There are 94+ lots covering approximately 24 acres of land on the southward-facing slope of Mt. Soledad, bisected by Rutgers Road.
The Palisades has active Declarations, Covenants, and Restrictions (DC&Rs) filed with the City of San Diego. The DC&Rs provide residents of the neighborhood guidance on how to purchase, maintain, and sell properties within the La Jolla Palisades I area. The DC&Rs were established when the subdistrict was established 1958 and were renewed with minor amendments in January, 1988.
A copy of the current DC&Rs can be found here: as PDF or Transcribed
An Architectural Committee (AC), composed of volunteer residents, acts to provide feedback on elements defined in the DC&Rs, as well as approve plans for new development in collaboration with relevant neighbors. The current AC was elected in 2022 and are expected to serve for a three year term.
